Botanical situation

Hi all! I realized I have a lot of summer casual outfit posts, and not many of formal or more dressy posts. I hope it’s okay, because at the moment, I’m in a tomboy phase. The weather is getting hotter and hotter as we’re working our way into September, which is a typical messed up Toronto weather pattern! When it should be warm, we get snow, when it should get the chills, we get a feels-like-40 weather.

As for my casual outfits, I guess it’s because I don’t have a lot of occasions to dress up for these days. I’m just concentrating on getting my stuff packed for the move to London, and if not, planning picnics!!

It was my best friend’s birthday, so we went to the Toronto Botanical Garden. We didn’t see beds and beds of flowers, as we were expecting, but it was quiet and relaxing. If you’re looking for huge beds of flowers, TBG isn’t quite what you’ll be amused with, unfortunately…

It’s a bit of a late update, but during the weekends, I went to the Woodbine beach with my bestie. This is possibly the last time we’ll be together in T dot, so we tried to venture out from the normal downtown/uptown routine. It’s sunny, yet a bit chilly here, so the beach wasn’t crazy crowded, just as we liked it.

I’m the type of person that hates to go to the beach with a bikini on and swim in the water or get a tan. I love taking a stroll at the beach, day or night! What I love about the Canadian beaches or lakes are that the water is so nice and clear. Too bad that this felt like a goodbye trip with my friend, it made me happy to see a different part of Toronto!

Since most of my friends are taking summer courses, if I want to meet them up, I have to watch them study. So today, I’ve brought a few magazines and a book to keep me company while they do their studying. It was raining one second, then sunny the next, and has shown me, once again, what Toronto is truly like. I’m not even complaining anymore!

I wanted to do something different with my outfit today: since I’m “studying” with my friend, I wanted to feel studious again with a backpack and a pair of my old Chuck Taylors. I’ve been doing a lot of bright colours, which I love, but again, I love wearing monotoned black outfits as well!
